The Japanese trailer for Iron Man 3 hit the web today, and it features a whole lot more…Gwyneth Paltrow. Yes, that may not exactly be the big draw with these movies, but it is new footage so check it out anyways as it features the actress spouting the always cliche line, “hi, Honey. I’m home.” And people had the nerve to call this movie too dark!
Outside of that, there is a little Avengers added to the front-end of this spot suggesting to us that the marketing team believes there is not a whole lot of awareness of Tony Stark outside of the Joss Whedon-directed mega-hit. Checking box office receipts confirms this as The Avengers out-grossed the first two Iron Man movies combined $45.3 million to $21.5 million.
Stars of Iron Man 3 include Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, and Rebecca Hall among others. The film releases into theaters nationwide on May 3, 2013.
